10 Random Things
  • My husband Justen and I have known each other since we were 8, and have been best friends since we were 10, but didn’t start dating until we were 18 after he’d asked me for 8 years straight. I know…aww.
  • I am obsessed with hot sauce. We have a monthly hot sauce subscription box with small-batch sauces. The super-hots are my favorite.
  • I am born and raised in Bartow, just down the street from Echo Delta. Justen and I just bought our forever home in Bartow and are excited to raise our fur children, Brian and Craig there. And maybe some adopted human children.
  • Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, no matter what time of day.
  • I wanted to be a broadcast journalist all through grade school – I interviewed Former Senator John Laurent when I was 9, won Best Female Solo Announcer in middle school and tied for the same award as a senior in high school. Then I got to college and hated it.
  • Historically I’ve had a black thumb – but I’ve recently discovered the world of succulents and cactuses, and now I’m addicted. Little watering and attention needed? My kind of plant.
  • I am a bonafide dog lady. Cats are okay, I guess, but nothing beats puppy cuddles.
  • While at the Polk Addy Awards in 2013, I leaned over to Justen when Echo Delta accepted an award and said “before I retire, I will work there.” And here we are!
  • Pre-Echo Delta, I worked in sports and entertainment (Go Bolts!). Justen and I love going to concerts for date night – so between work and date night I’ve seen over 300 concerts in the last 6 years.
  • My travel bucket list includes London, Ireland and visiting every NHL Arena.
