Agnes Scott College

Renovations and Reroutes: Reimagining the Campus Visit

Even if you haven’t stepped onto campus, chances are you’ve seen Agnes Scott College. Nestled in the heart of Decatur—a vibrant neighborhood in metro Atlanta—its leafy, historic campus has served as the backdrop for countless movies and television shows.

But when prospective students and families visit, they’re not looking for a movie set. They want to experience the authentic Agnes Scott—a transformative, tight-knit women’s college where 67% of students identify as diverse, half are Pell Grant-eligible, and more than a quarter are the first in their families to attend college.

Agnes Scott is consistently ranked among the nation’s best liberal arts colleges as the #1 in Undergraduate Teaching, #1 Most Innovative School, and #4 in Social Mobility (U.S. News & World Report, National Liberal Arts Colleges). But rankings alone don’t tell the full story. That’s why we redesigned the campus visit experience to highlight where—and how—students thrive.

The Solution

Signature Tour Moments in a Renovated Main Hall

Ten years ago, Agnes Scott transformed Rebekkah Hall into a state-of-the-art welcome center and admissions hub. During the recent on-campus enrollment consultation, we recommended updates to this space and a new focus for tours—one that reflects the college’s bold investment in student success.

The highlight of the revised tour is Main Hall, now beautifully renovated and central to student life. This historic building houses the President’s Office, three floors of upper-level student housing, and the new Career Exploration Center, a two-story resource hub combining personalized guidance with cutting-edge tech to support students in career prep.

Ramona, Agnes Scott’s admission Scottie, greets prospective families.

The historic Main Hall has been renovated to include a multi-floor Career Exploration Center.

Residence halls shown on tour appeal to prospective DIII student-athletes.

The entrance to the iconic bell tower welcomes prospective and graduating students.

A modern bell hall renovation honors the tradition of Scotties signing the walls and ringing the bell.

The Results

Along with showing a model residence hall room and common spaces in Main Hall, tours now culminate at the iconic Bell Tower,
a powerful symbol of student achievement. For generations, Agnes Scott seniors have rung the bell to celebrate acceptances to graduate programs or job offers. The newly enhanced space now serves as a meaningful signature moment—connecting past, present, and future.

“We are grateful for your partnership and perspective.”
